Learning need not be boring. That message is embedded in much of the training that DCTC’s Meeting and Event Management students receive. After all, they are the future managers of educational meetings and events. Who better to learn delivery of information beyond the typical lecture and “death-by-PowerPoint”?
So it was no surprise when students were asked to share their research on the topic of adult learning, that they selected game shows as their format. Even more appropriate was the fact that our class day was held at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel. Yes, there was gaming going on outside our meeting room. But inside our meeting room, the gaming led to real learning that will make these students stars! Shown here are the gaming hosts in action.
