Experiences in Guest Services

Guest Services students at Twin Cities Rise! wrapped up their training by getting experiences at five Twin City employer facilities who agree that it’s all about the guest. These organizations shine in their commitment to build the hospitality industry forward!

2014-01-08 15.40.46 - Copy - CopyAt The Saint Paul Hotel staff members shared guest service insights and their own hospitality career experiences. Thanks to General Manager, David Miller, for making it happen. We loved the front- and back-of-the-house tour, and on that cold day in January, appreciated the fireplace in the elegant lobby.

First-hand experience in the back-of-house ranged from room attendant to banquet set-up. In the front-of-house students learned about food and beverage, front desk, bell staff, PBX, and more.

At the Depot Complex, students got a first-hand glimpse into the event space as well as two very distinctive hotels — Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, and Residence Inn Depot Minneapolis.
